Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 53
“Should we set up the bed here?”
Servants appeared carrying wooden planks and thick mattresses.
“Rienna’s bed on the right, leave about a foot and set it up.” Helios ordered, and the servants briskly moved to install the makeshift bed.
“Your Highness, are you really going to sleep on a cot?” Vincenzo asked incredulously.
Helios, born as a Crown Prince during a time of peace in the country, had never experienced discomfort or a rough life due to the prosperous era. His bed was always spacious and comfortable, and he insisted on using only the finest bedding from the continent.
But sleeping on a cot?
What if he gets uncomfortable?
Who will deal with all his irritation?
“Absolutely not!” Vincenzo couldn’t bear to see him suffer for something so personal.
Helios casually ignored Vincenzo and checked the springs of the makeshift bed.
Vincenzo’s face, witnessing his almost unbelievable satisfaction, darkened rapidly. It seemed as if dark clouds were gathering just before a downpour.
“Why would you sleep on a cot?”
“We’re not even married yet, so I can’t sleep together with Rienna. I’m a man who respects the opinions of his beloved. Besides, it takes a long time to order a bed. Isn’t that right, Rienna?”
Helios looked at me. I was dumbfounded.
Are they insisting on installing a makeshift bed right next to mine, all in the name of respecting me?
“Rienna, relax. The situation is inevitable. It’s for Benz’s treatment—you agreed too.”
“Yes, I did.”
I felt a twinge of regret, but I brushed it off.
“It’s unavoidable. I know Vincenzo will be uncomfortable for a while, but please understand. It’s for treating the Queen Mother’s nephew.”
I explained the situation to Vincenzo and Emma, who would now be frequenting my room more often.
We all had to stay on the same floor, me for Benz and Helios for my imprint.
“I suppose if you share the same room, you won’t need to set aside separate treatment times.”
Vincenzo tried to find a silver lining. It was a definite advantage.
Let’s think positively.
Helios and I stood side by side, watching the cot taking shape.

Let’s just hold hands.
I never thought I’d hear those words again.
Last night, Helios tightly held my hand and said those words. However, unlike novels where it starts with holding hands and progresses to various places, our night passed without any incident.
And when I lay down next to him, I slept so soundly that I don’t remember the moment I fell asleep.
Apparently, so did Helios.
“Good morning.”
His voice, greeting me the moment our eyes met, was unusually cheerful.
“G-Good morning.”
Why is there sunlight in the room? His face was sparkling so much that I had a whimsical thought that he was the sunshine in the room.
It’s enough to make someone think they’re seeing things.
I subtly turned my head, and Helios slid off the bed and stretched.
My gaze was drawn to him like a magnet.
Look at those long legs.
Look at that slender waist.
Seriously, that back looks like it belongs on a magazine cover.
I didn’t want to bend like a hungry cat, but whenever I looked at Helios, it just naturally happened.
I wonder if this was my fault. Or was it because the author created Helios to be too beautiful and impressive?
No matter how many times I think about it, it’s the author’s fault.
How many women could resist not looking at a man who possesses languor, sexiness, cuteness, handsomeness, and coolness all at once, strolling back and forth right in front of them?
It’s not like I wanted to possess him or had any wild thoughts like that. After all, being a fan of an idol doesn’t mean you want to date your bias.
Above all, I knew my place.
Helios belongs to Chloe. Helios imprints with Chloe.
To prevent vague expectations from arising, I did some mind control today too.
“Let’s go out this afternoon,” Helios said as he finished stretching and plopped down on the bed.
As I got up and searched for my indoor shoes, my knee touched his. A gentle touch, yet the area that came into contact tingled—not pain but something else.
It was one of the symptoms that appeared after imprinting.
Every time I touched him, there was a physical reaction. His touch alleviated my pain when I was hurting, and when I wasn’t in pain, it triggered a strange sensation—a tingling like electric currents, a rise in temperature, or a sudden increase in heart rate.
The side effects of imprinting are really all over the place.
I pulled my knee away.
“Go out?”
