Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 58
The story seemed tedious, and I found myself entertaining trivial thoughts. In novels, there were precisely four individuals who imprinted with Chloe: Helios, Benz, Macaulay, and Carsey. I stopped reading when Helios died, so I’m unsure about the conclusion. But it must be one of those four.
It couldn’t be him.
“Her hair is amazing too. Actually, she’s presenting today as a speaker. The topic is quite innovative. Would you like me to tell you?”
The speaker part piqued my interest a little, but not enough to ask.
Now I wanted to get up. My ears were bleeding, my ankle was throbbing, and I was worried about Helios.
“Thank you for your help,” I cut Kama’s words short. “If you need anything in the future, feel free to contact me. I am—”
“Rienna, who is this?”
Since meeting Benz, I’ve struggled with introductions. Lately, it seemed unusually challenging.
I turned to the person who abruptly interrupted me. It was Helios, holding my purse. His eyes were filled with displeasure.
“Are you her companion? Good timing. I needed to go check something, but I was nervous about leaving someone injured alone, so this worked out well.”
Was Kama staying by my side solely for my benefit? He truly seemed like a kind person. I regretted thinking that our conversation was tedious.
“Rienna, are you hurt?” Helios was genuinely surprised.
“It’s nothing major, just a sprained ankle.”
“An ankle? Where?” Helios knelt in front of me, concern etched on his face.
“I, well… Why are you doing this?” I stammered.
“Where does it hurt? Left or right?” Helios reached out as if he would grab my foot right away.
I quickly hid my foot under the hem of my dress, but he caught it promptly. He slipped his hand under my dress and grabbed both my ankles.
“It’s the left one. It’s definitely swollen,” he observed.
He gently pulled my left foot out, and though I tried to brace myself using the chair, it was futile. Helios proceeded to remove my shoe.
“People are watching,” I whispered.
It was hard for a tall, handsome man like him not to stand out, especially when there was such a regal air about him. Since a while ago, men and women, young and old, had been discreetly glancing in our direction. Amidst the curious and envious gazes, there was even a look from Kama.
“Weren’t you leaving? Since her companion has arrived, you can go. We’ll reward you and you can leave, no need for further contact. Vincenzo!”
Helios focused on removing my shoe as he spoke. Soon, Vincenzo emerged from somewhere, looking perplexed, and led the bewildered Kama away.
I felt bad for him, being kicked out like an uninvited guest after all the kindness he showed towards me.
“Let’s see. Look here.”
Helios placed my left foot on his thigh. His large hand delicately caressed my ankle and gently swept down my calf.
“It’s not too swollen. Does it hurt if I press here?”
I curled my toes, more embarrassed than hurt.
“It’s okay. I can try to walk.”
As I attempted to stand, Helios firmly pressed my shoulder.
“Just stay seated; it’s fine. Don’t think about walking today.”
“But what if I can’t get anywhere?”
“No worries. Are you afraid you won’t be able to see the sights? If there’s somewhere you want to go, just let me know.”
“Forget sightseeing, but how do we get back to the palace?”
“You worry too much. I can carry you—wouldn’t that solve the problem?”
My heart pounded because of how Helios would say these audacious things with such a straight face. He had to be joking around at some point, right?
“It’s fine. Please just lend me a hand.”
“I don’t mince my words. Get on.”
Helios shifted his sitting position. I glanced down at his vast back, feeling like I was facing an endless sea, and stifled a laugh.
“How long are you going to keep me on my knees?”
I detected a faint tremor in Helios’s voice. Was he annoyed?
When Helios was annoyed, he got headaches, and his headaches were only alleviated by the sight of blood. As a result, wherever he stayed, the scent of blood lingered.
Of all times, why did a scene highlighting his villainous aspect come to mind now? Perhaps it’s a friendly warning from the transmigration gods—that annoying Helios further might lead to my demise.
I stopped hesitating and hugged him tightly. Gasps of surprise rippled through the onlookers.
“Oh my, oh my…”
Feeling a bit embarrassed, I buried my face in Helios’s neck. I could sense the warmth emanating from his throat.
