Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 6
The tension was so high that my hair felt like it was standing on end.
Helios leaned his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his palm, and stared at me.
I wondered why he’d called me in. I scanned the room in an attempt to gauge his intentions, but there were limitations to my field of vision. Unable to lift my head, I squinted, but it was impossible to see his expression.
All I could see were his legs.
Quite a sturdy leg.
It was a physique bestowed by the gods. Despite possible pain that might have prevented training, his legs were firm and robust on his long frame, presenting an overwhelming figure that left me speechless.
Maybe it’s just dehydration.
I shook off the stray thoughts, tilting my head. I needed to stay alert to survive.
Not knowing why he suddenly summoned me only made me more uneasy. Why would he call someone in and then just stare at them? His gaze was so sharp that it felt almost prickly on my skin. I was hungry, thirsty, and at the end of my rope, and it was too much to bear under his piercing gaze.
Please say something, anything, I begged.
“Give it a try, some examination or whatever.” I heard what seemed like a hallucination – Helios’s voice, sounding a little tired. “Why aren’t you answering? Don’t want to treat me? Was it just some quack talking? Then leave.”
If it was an auditory hallucination born from a desperate wish, shouldn’t I hear only what I wanted to hear? No, it felt too vivid for a hallucination, and I thought it was weird.
Someone poked me on my side. When I discreetly turned my head, I saw Jamie, who was trying hard to purse her lips. I squinted, making an effort to interpret Jamie’s words.
“Treat, Your Highness, examination… Yes? Treat Your Highness?”
I looked at Jamie when I asked, but the answer came from Helios.
“Yes, do it.”
Blood rushed to my head suddenly, and my vision spun around.
If I collapse like this, I won’t be able to get up!
Instinctively sensing danger, even in my falling state, I twisted my body toward Helios, wanting to grab his wrist before collapsing to regain some semblance of balance. It would take a lot of strength to regain my center once I lost it. But I had no stamina left.
Eventually, my body leaned significantly toward Helios.
“What are you—?” Startled, Helios quickly stood up.
“I’m sorry, Your Highness, I’m sorry!” I threw my hands up in the air. At the same time, I was fervently calling out to the gods.
I want to live! I want to save my favorite character! So, please give me a way to save him!
I don’t know if it was through her desperation, or if it was a perk of being a transmigrator, but the moment I grabbed the ground and slid down, my eyes flashed open and words popped out.
Migraine, temperature 37.5 degrees Celsius, low-grade fever.
From hearing hallucinations to now seemingly utter nonsense. Did I hit my head without realizing it? Could it be that I’m dying?
It was when I rambled incoherently.
“Are you… not going to get off right now?” Someone commanded me overhead.
As I abruptly lifted my head, Helios was glaring at me. No other grim reaper could exude such chilling aura.
Observing his stern expression, I realized what I had felt in my palm wasn’t the ground but Helios’s thigh.
“No wonder it seemed more bendy than the floor.”
But my misunderstanding was unavoidable. Helios’s thighs were literally as hard as well-compacted earth.
I laughed awkwardly and pulled my hand away.
Then, the words disappeared.
