Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 66
As time passed, the attacks of the letters intensified, and changes occurred in his dream body. The letters began to be etched onto his body. The first engraved letter was ‘L,’ followed by ‘I.’
Could this be a precursor to imprinting? Were all those who underwent imprinted in such pain?
That couldn’t be.
An imprint is something that appears out of nowhere. Like magic. That’s why they call it fate.
There had never been a case like Helios’s, suffering so intensely at the moment of imprinting, nor had he heard or seen such a case afterward.
So what could this be?
Unable to find an answer, Helios gave up on sleep. After enduring days without rest and repeatedly fainting, his health deteriorated rapidly. Around that time, Priscilla went on a rampage. As the Emperor had delegated most of Helios’s authority to the Empress, Priscilla concluded that Helios had been discarded by the Emperor.
So she saw an opportunity to kill him, and eventually attempted it. But Helios was not easily defeated, though not without consequences.
Even though he had escaped Priscilla’s evil machinations, Helios’s mind and body grew weary. Living felt like not living at all. He could see no end to his suffering in sight, and the only path that lay before him was riddled with thorns.
He had given up all hope.
Then Rienna appeared.
And his life changed.
Helios became someone who couldn’t live without Rienna. However, even to her, Helios did not speak about his dreams. Somehow, he feared it.
Afterwards, he regained his health, and the dreams ceased.
But what if it’s the other way around?
That thought struck Helios as he listened to Benz’s words.
What if it’s not that I don’t dream because I’m not sick, but that I’m not sick because I don’t dream?
There’s something about this dream. What could it be? Why did Benz have the same dream as Helios? Why are their conditions so similar?
It was just one question after another.
Helios’s grip on the railing tightened with each passing moment.

I placed the report documenting Benz’s dream on the desk. His dreams bothered me. And Helios’s reaction…
He’s been acting strangely ever since hearing about Benz’s dreams.
His blank, anxious stare made me uneasy. I rang the bell to summon Jamie.
“Did you find him?”
Jamie, who had been in the maid’s room across the hall, appeared promptly.
“Yes, where is he?”
“He’s having lunch with the Queen.”
“Ah… Lunch is late, huh?”
It was already well past two in the afternoon.
“Her Majesty scheduled an appointment for this time.”
I frowned. Although Helios’s health was improving, he still needed careful attention. Deep sleep, good-quality food with regular meals, and high-intensity exercise at least three times a week! Even for a healthy person, not adhering to this could lead to illness, and I found myself resenting the Queen.
“Her Majesty has been dining with him a lot lately.”
“Vincenzo says it’s because of the engagement preparations?”
While I was focusing on my illness, he was busy dealing with various matters. I was touched and apologetic at the same time.
“Tell Vincenzo that if there’s anything I should handle, he can pass it on to me.”
“Oh, please don’t say that. You might collapse again if you do.”
“His Highness has been holding my hand often, so it’s okay.”
Helios and I slept hand in hand every night. And I snuggled up to him whenever I could. It was embarrassing at first, but now I was so used to the touch that I felt empty without him. Thanks to this, I didn’t collapse as suddenly as I had in the beginning.
“It’s only a temporary fix,” Jamie said, “and I can’t wait for your name to appear on his body.”
Me too.
If it didn’t work out with Chloe Dorian, I’d want my name to appear and we could spend a hundred years together…
Oh my god, what am I thinking?
I waved my hand to erase the delusions.
“By the way, about the presentation materials on the World Fair imprint research that I asked for. Did you get them?”
“Yes, of course. Who do you think I am? Just give me a minute and I’ll go get it.”
She dashed out like lightning and quickly returned. However, she wasn’t alone. A man in a security uniform greeted me with an awkward smile.
“Hello? Lady Rienna Harris. I’m Chief Constable Nick Grayson, but please, feel free to call me Nick.”
“Yes. I’m Rienna Harris. What brings you here, Constable Grayson?”
Grayson glanced around and then scratched his head.
“Well… I’m here to question you regarding the Kama Jin suicide case.”
Kama Jin. He committed suicide.
