Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 77
“Tell me, Rienna.”
Helios didn’t wait for me like before. His gaze was intense.
“I… ”
My breath caught in my throat. All because of his gooey gaze.
“I’ll do whatever you want.” He said it plainly.
Or was the desire in his eyes just my imagination? I bit my lower lip. Helios’s hips twitched. His fingers touched my lips and withdrew.
The spot where we touched tingled as if it had been burned.
“Don’t bite your lip.”
Helios sat back in his seat and turned his head away. He stroked his chin with his large hand and sighed.
“If you can’t decide…”
Helios gripped the armrest of his chair. He seemed ready to get up at any moment.
“It’s not hard to decide,” I said.
I already knew the answer. I wanted to live, and I knew that the imprinting pain was beyond my reason. So when Helios gave me the choice, I had to seize it. The guilt of taking his first, seizing what belonged to Chloe, I crumpled up and threw away.
We’re all selfish. I’m not the heroine, and I’m not obligated to save the world, so what’s the harm in being a little selfish?
I made up my mind.
Let’s just try to survive for now.
“Everything.”
Helios’s left eyebrow raised. A glint of interest appeared in his eye.
“I’m going to touch you.”
He explained kindly. There was something lacking in the explanation, but his eyes told me what it was.
I’m going to touch every inch of you, and sometimes lick you.
“I–I won’t back down.”
A combat-ready statement slipped out, like a seasoned warrior preparing for battle.
Helios chuckled, a magical laughter that could melt away anyone’s tension.
“So you’re okay with more than that?”
“To live, yes.”
“I like that.”
Even with my declaration of thoroughly using him, Helios simply seemed pleased.
“You don’t feel bad, do you?”
“Nonsense. I have a duty to keep you alive. That’s the weight of my name imprinted on your body.”
The responsibility he felt weighed heavily on me. Why does fate play tricks with Helios’s name?
As he rose to his feet, he pressed his finger firmly between my eyebrows.
“Don’t make a face, Rienna. From now on, I won’t ask you each time during treatment because we just made a commitment to each other to do our best to help you heal.”
The weight was different than it had been during our first experiment.
I swallowed hard.
“But if you don’t like it, push me away. Do you understand?”
“I understand.”
Helios gripped the head of the bed with both hands.
“Your Highness.”
Even though I widened my eyes, he didn’t retreat. I ended up trapped in Helios’s embrace.
Then, he kissed me. Without realizing it, I pushed Helios’s shoulders firmly.
With a cute sound, Helios willingly stepped back.
He remained nonchalant, as if nothing had happened. I was the one who was embarrassed. No, I was more disappointed than embarrassed.
I didn’t mean to push him away—I did it reflexively.
It was astonishing how a person of his size could be easily pushed back by a light touch.
But what was there to regret? Was I disappointed with the treatment? I suppose that was it.
I reached a hollow conclusion and flopped down on the bed.
“Hey, hey, I’m just going to brush my teeth!”
And swiftly, I darted into the bathroom. Helios’s cheerful voice came from behind.
“Brush your teeth? What are you doing, Rienna? Do you want me to brush my teeth too?”
I could hear his footsteps approaching the bathroom. He doesn’t even know how to be embarrassed!
I quickly closed the door and locked it. And when I looked up, I was stunned.
There, in the bathroom mirror, was me, glowing as red as a sweet potato.
I guess… we won’t need to roast sweet potatoes in winter.
