“Wow, what a surprise!”
When I came out after brushing my teeth, Helios was waiting for me at the bathroom door.
“What took you so long?”
He pushed himself off the wall, and a massive figure appeared in front of me.
“It takes a while to clean properly. It’s for the sake of dental health, you know.”
I tried to say something like a dentist would and moved towards the desk, avoiding him. Half of me wanted to see the documents he brought, and the other half wanted to avoid him.
“Where are you going?”
Helios grabbed my wrist from behind, swiftly turning me around and placing his hands on my waist.
Suddenly pushed against the wall, I blinked.
“I need to go out for a bit in the evening. There’s something the Queen asked me to do.”
“Oh, is that so?”
“Why ask when you already know? Just close your eyes.”
I closed my eyes, fully expecting what would happen next.
Yet, I wasn’t mentally prepared for it. I wished I had a bit more time, but Helios was like a bulldozer—once he set his mind to something, he didn’t hesitate.
“Do you like it with your eyes open? I don’t mind.”
His tongue licked my lower lip, and without realizing, I slightly parted my lips, allowing something warm and moist to audaciously enter.
It was unexpected, but not unwelcome.
Helios explored my entire mouth as if he wanted to taste every inch of it.
“Rienna, relax.” Helios kissed the side of my eye, which had been closed for who knows how long.
“You might get sore tensing so much.” Helios patted me round the shoulder.
“I’m not sure what to do.” My voice didn’t sound like mine. It was husky, and somehow, oddly sensual.
“I’ll teach you.”
Helios whispered softly. He slipped my hand around his neck.
“A little closer.”
Helios lowered his head and moved closer. His knees found their way between my legs.
Once again, his tongue intruded into my mouth. Every place it touched sent a warm sensation blooming. It was obviously therapy, but heat built up in my body.
I wondered if it was just me feeling this, but I quickly dismissed that thought.
With our bodies pressed together, I felt his center swelling. The unfamiliar sensation sent shivers down my spine. And the heat accumulating below my belly button spread throughout my body.
I gently pushed Helios away.
No more than this, I whispered quickly, this should be enough precaution.
Helios’s dazed eyes slowly opened, but instead of letting go, he clutched me tightly in his arms.
His upper body puffed up and down, pressing my chest as he embraced me fiercely.
“I’ll be back.”
After holding me for a long moment, he let go, but only because Vincenzo was there calling him anxiously in the hallway.
“I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
As he left, I slid down the wall, almost collapsing, weakened by just a single kiss. One kiss and my legs were gone, my whole body weak.
I practically stumbled toward the bed. Once on the bed, I lay down to calm my excitement.
However, the arousal didn’t subside easily. Even without him, my thighs twitched involuntarily.The aftermath of the kiss lingered in my body longer than I expected.
I wanted to shake off that strange sensation quickly. So, I decided to review the information he had provided.
“Oh, you’ve done a lot of research. Nick, you’re quite the investigator.”
I quickly skimmed over the unimportant parts.There was only one thing I wanted to know: the relationship between Chloe and Kama. However, I couldn’t find any specific information about their relationship.
“Maybe I should ask Chloe herself.”
But I had no reason to see her. I offered to help Nick with his investigation, but I’m not an official investigator. Besides, Nick had already met with Chloe, who explained that Kama Jin was just an assistant for one of her research projects.
Was Chloe telling the truth?
I had a strong feeling that it wasn’t. I have to meet her in person to be sure. I needed to figure out a way!
As soon as I made that determination, a way suddenly dropped into my lap.
“The Queen wants to go out tomorrow,” said Jamie.
