Villain, Let Me Touch You! - Chapter 87
Nick’s eyes flickered with suspicion.
“I think there’s more to it than meets the eye.”
“Does that mean Lady Rienna also suspects these people were murdered, not committed suicide?”
Rienna hesitated to answer and bit her lip. There was no concrete evidence to support her claim. Even if she claimed to sense something from the deceased just like with Kama Jin, it was still the same.
But there is definitely a connection between these deaths. And that connection is a person. Someone Rienna knew.
But how could she convince Nick? Is there anything she could do to persuade him?
Rienna hesitated, then spoke up.
“It’s just a gut feeling.”
Sometimes, honesty was the best policy.
“But I suppose that alone isn’t convincing, is it?”
Rienna hung her head in disappointment. She felt a little embarrassed that she’d been so brave to come this far.
Creak, the sound of a chair being pulled.
“Let’s go. We’re running out of time, Lady Rienna.”
This time, her nature not to commit to an answer actually helped her.

That day, I read the symptoms of the deceased. It was a burning sensation, much like Kama Jin’s.
“Rienna, what are you looking at so intently?”
Helios embraced me from behind, his warmth flowing through as I leaned into his chest. The turmoil in my mind seemed to calm down.
I quietly glanced at the documents before stepping out of Helios’s embrace and handing him the papers.
“What’s this?”
“Take a look, Your Highness. Do you notice anything strange?”
I looked at Helios expectantly.
In novels, Helios was portrayed as a highly competent detective. I had once seen a line about him solving unsolved cases by order of the Emperor. I had been ecstatic over that single line all night long.
Our Helios is the best! Sherlock Holmes doesn’t even compare.
I would silently cheer, imagining the unsolved cases he had cracked.
“It’s a suicide case. Similar to the one with Kama Jin last time.”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“This is different from the data I brought.”
Helios had brought me documents mainly related to Kama Jin. But all Nick had given him was a list of all the relevant suicides.
Helios quickly skimmed through the documents before placing them on the desk.
I gazed at Helios with anticipation. I wondered if he had discovered anything.
“Why are you looking at this? It’s not good,” Helios remarked, pushing the documents aside as if they were undesirable items, then running his hand through his hair.
I raised an eyebrow. Hadn’t even Helios found anything noteworthy in this case?
“Your Highness, take a closer look,” I urged.
“What’s the point of scrutinizing over dead people? It’s futile,” Helios shook his head, reaching out his hand to me.
“Let’s focus on healing, Rienna. We haven’t had time together all afternoon.”
Even though I was the one in urgent need of treatment, Helios was the one who seemed insistent on it. Unable to outright refuse, I approached Helios. Yet, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the documents.
There must be something, but what could it be?
“Rienna, your upper body is completely disconnected from your lower body right now?”
“What? What are you talking about?”
I was taken aback and felt around my waist. Naturally, my body was firmly intact.
Ah, I fell for that serious tone again, didn’t I? Fooled again.
But I’m not stupid. This world has to be crazy.
“You’re so eager to know about that case?”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“Alright. But let’s discuss it while we treat you.”
Helios climbed onto his bed instead of mine. Leaning against the bedside table, he tapped his thigh.
“What are you doing? Aren’t we going to solve the case?”
He looked at me with wide eyes, urging me to hurry and sit on his thigh.
His thigh was as hard as a rock. A cliché expression, but there was no better way to describe it.
With my bxttxcks perched on Helios’s thigh, I examined the documents Nick had handed over.
