When That Door Opens - Chapter 39
“Are you sincere?”
After a moment, he sat up. The tears that had gathered in my eyes trickled down. He propped himself up on the bed with his elbow and, seeing my tear-streaked face, furrowed his brow.
“Yes, I’m sincere.”
“Ha…”
“You don’t believe me, do you? But that’s okay.”
He shook his head slowly and then very carefully wiped away my tears. It was the first time someone had wiped my tears for me, so I naturally leaned my cheek into his hand. Watching this, he gave a bitter smile.
“I will accept your apology, Lady Astel.”
“I know. It’s hard to believe because I’ve been so terrible… huh?”
“You’re misunderstanding me. I will trust you, Lady Astel.”
“You’ll trust me?”
I blinked in bewilderment. He chuckled.
“Yes. Then again, I’m not even sure what I’m saying right now.”
“Well, neither am I.”
“To hear an apology from you in such a place, in such a state… I never imagined it. And also…”
He hesitated for a moment, then lowered his head and softly kissed my lips. It was a gentle kiss, like a feather falling on a lake.
“I don’t think someone who looks at me with eyes like that could lie. Even if my eyes are wrong, I want to believe you, Lady Astel. So much that it doesn’t matter if I’m deceived.”
“What kind of person do you think I am?”
“You are my benefactor who saved my life.”
Maybe it was because it was nighttime, but his smile seemed incredibly sweet. Perhaps it was just that no one had ever smiled at me like this before, making it feel that way.
“And?”
“I must repay you. I will fulfill whatever you desire, Lady Astel.”
My face grew warm. Tonight, I had asked him to spend the night with me. It was a half-crazed suggestion, but it was still valid.
I thought for a moment. Should I say it never happened?
“We can start over. Whatever you want.”
Before I could make a decision, he started kissing me again. I tightly shut my eyes. If I was going to stop, it had to be now. I needed to say something before it was too late. I kept telling myself that. Yet, I couldn’t bring myself to say a word.
“Hnnn.”
His fingers intertwined with mine, clasping tightly. A voice in the back of my mind still screamed that I needed to stop this. But instead, I enjoyed the thrill from doing something forbidden. The tension in my lower abdomen made me instinctively cross my legs.
“Ah…!”
His hand slowly traveled down to my most intimate area. The sensation was far more intense than when his hand had touched my chest. It felt like every hair on my body was standing on end.
I instinctively arched my back slightly. I think he laughed at my sensitive reaction. Soon, a foreign sensation invaded my moist inner depths. At a loss for what to do, I clung tightly to his arm. He let out a low chuckle and kissed me softly.
“……!”
It seemed that he too was surprised by his own actions, looking at me with a bewildered expression. I suddenly felt that this kiss might become very important to both of us.
A moment that felt like an eternity passed. His ears turned red as he avoided my gaze, but his hands continued to move diligently.
Though it was just his fingers, it was overwhelming for me as everything was a first. Even in the chaos, a thought crossed my mind.
He was favored by noblewomen, and I could understand why.
Thankfully, I didn’t say that out loud. If I had, it would have deeply shamed him.
“Ah!”
And at some point, I could no longer think of anyone else. My heart raced with my first experience of ecstasy. I was writhing like a fish out of water. He withdrew his hand from below and adjusted his posture. His slightly damp hand grasped my wrist. Something hot, hard, yet soft touched my nether region. I clung to him, panting with a mix of anticipation and fear. Soon, something heavy penetrated deep inside me.
We had finally become one.
I don’t quite know how to explain what happened next. Every moment was as intense as fireworks. My whimpers, his suppressed groans, the fiery gaze looking down at me, the rough kisses—all these lingered in my mind like a vivid oil painting.
