When Your Secret Crush Wizard Took a Love Potion - Chapter 10
Whether it was bread or dirt entering my mouth, I couldn’t tell as I reluctantly ate my breakfast. Looking at my struggle, Edgar softened some tough jerky by toasting it over the fire and then sandwiched it in bread before handing it to me.
“Here, eat this.”
I accepted it, and he smiled contentedly as the morning sun shone on his face, which was handsome enough to draw anyone’s gaze. However, my eyes were unfortunately fixed on his g***n.
Our cabin’s library was magically expanded to be more like a public library than a personal study. It housed not just magic books but also volumes on biology and human anatomy. I was aware that humans reproduced through s-xual activity and that men and women engaged in intercourse to have children.
However, this was merely knowledge. I hadn’t understood the specifics, so Edgar’s recent behavior was shockingly out of character. I even had the misfortune of seeing it with my own eyes one morning when Edgar mas—bated in front of my sleeping face.
The sight of a man’s ge-itals for the first time, along with the strong smell of se-en, lingered in my mind for days, becoming clearer as time passed.
It was hard to believe that beneath the facade of my always-respected teacher was something that seemed like the most terrifying monster concocted through alchemy.
“What are you looking at?”
His low voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I saw Edgar loosening his trousers with a moved face.
“Chloe, you really wanted to take my c-m in your mouth, didn’t you? Here, if you want, I can give it to you as much as you like!”
“Snap out of it.”
The thought of that disgusting thing in my mouth was unbearable. That would never happen.
After finishing the meal and ignoring Edgar’s sullen reaction to my stern refusal, I tidied up our spot. Peering beyond the dense trees, I could see a flag fluttering distantly atop a castle wall, signaling that we should reach the village by tomorrow.
If we want to cure Edgar as soon as possible, we need to keep moving.
“Shall we get going?”
Edgar, who had been unblinkingly watching me, glanced over my shoulder as a rustling noise suddenly animated the bushes.
An eerie presence in an otherwise empty forest.
“Come here, Chloe.”
“Shh.”
Despite Edgar’s gesture, I positioned him behind me and stood guard.
Edgar Blayden had been the most formidable and powerful wizard I knew, but now he was as helpless as any ordinary man. This wasn’t just because he was love-struck.
Normally, magic coursed through Edgar’s veins as naturally as blood, a proof to his profound connection with magical forces.
However, under the potion’s influence, his brain seemed bewitched, and his magical energies had become disoriented. He had almost started a forest fire when I merely asked for a small campfire.
Despite the incidents, he remained unnervingly calm.
His voice, usually frivolous with indecent words, took on a grave tone when discussing his magic, almost making it seem like the potion’s effects had temporarily dissipated.
“It’s okay. It’s just a temporary phenomenon. A new circuit for the magic will form soon.”
“Be quiet.”
I cared for Edgar deeply, but it was difficult to give a positive response to whether he was truly helpful without his magic capabilities.
Still, even if he couldn’t perform magic, I was there. I might not surpass him, but I had also become a competent wizard through my own studies and practice. I had never tested my skills outside our cabin, but at that moment, I felt confident, almost to the point of arrogance.
“Chloe, wait a moment!”
The sudden squeal from Edgar coincided with a goblin bursting from the bushes, its green skin barely reaching my waist, hunched over and appearing feeble and pitiful.
[Fireball!]
I swiftly recited the incantation for a fire-based attack spell, and a sphere of powerful flames erupted, engulfing the small body of the goblin. It seemed an easy opponent, hardly worth Edgar’s concern to stop me.
However, it was my complacent idea.
