When Your Secret Crush Wizard Took a Love Potion - Chapter 36
The heaviness in Edgar’s voice as he murmured made me want to open my eyes and look at his face directly, but the effects of the medicine made my eyelids keep drooping.
“I’ve decided.”
His voice is a soothing breeze by my ear.
“Chloe, I…”
I wanted to hear him out, but I couldn’t hold onto consciousness any longer. Soon, my vision blurred as if submerged in dark waters, and the feverish confusion gave way to deep darkness.
* * *
I woke up to sunlight piercing through my eyelids, dazzling bright against an unfamiliar ceiling.
Startled for a moment, the solid arm around my waist and the familiar scent quickly eased my surprise. The last thing I remembered was being carried off the boat by Edgar, probably somewhere in the western part of the continent, though I wasn’t sure of the exact location.
The persistent prodding at my butt suggested there was no need to wake him; it seemed he had no intention of letting go anytime soon. I slapped the insistent arm away.
“If you’re awake, then get up, Edgar. Stop teasing by pretending to sleep.”
“Hmm… Did you sleep well?”
He rubbed his eyes sleepily, appearing quite innocent despite having just been pressing insistently against me.
“How do you feel?”
“Better after the medicine and some good rest.”
“I’m glad! Do you know how worried I was?”
He hugged me tight around my chest, not letting go until I nearly gasped for air. Only when I began to struggle did he finally let go.
“Hungry? I’ll order some breakfast.”
“But first, I have a question.”
I clutched at the slipping blanket, pulling it hastily up to my collarbone.
“Why am I naked?”
It was the first time I found myself bare in such a way with Edgar. As he was usually the one who took off his clothes and rushed at me.
As I realized I was lying next to him with my important parts only covered only by a thin blanket, a sudden rush of embarrassment made my heart pound violently.
I couldn’t help but raise my voice in embarrassment as Edgar was dressed casually despite me being naked.
“You did something weird to me!”
My face heated up to my neck as I shouted, and Edgar, with a dazed expression, groaned and bent over. Just then, it revealed an unmistakable bulge in his thigh.
“Of course! What have you done to me while I was unconscious?”
My suspicions were fueled by the countless times Edgar had taken liberties with me after the effects of the love potion made him lose restraint. Like an unleashed wild horse.
“But I didn’t do anything. You were soaked in sweat, and I know you hate that, so I took your clothes off—that’s all,” he protested with an unfair look.
“Really?”
“Yes. I’m not so frivolous as to satisfy my lust by using someone who’s unwell.”
I would have scoffed at such a statement at the start of our journey, but now, it wasn’t so easy to dismiss. After the potion, my own feelings had started to waver too, as Edgar’s constant advances wore me down.
I quickly changed the subject.
“Forget the meal, I want to wash first.”
“Should I just wipe you down with a damp cloth?”
“No, I can move now. I’ll wash myself.”
“Then I’ll have someone bring bath water.”
As Edgar reached to ring for a servant, he paused, a flush of embarrassment crossing his face.
“Before that…”
He stammered. His cheeks blush like a shy youth confessing love.
“If it’s okay. Just let me lick even a little of your sweat.”
I was doubting my eyes. I smiled awkwardly to escape the bizarre situation, but then I saw a seriousness in Edgar’s face that I had never witnessed before.
His eyes were earnest. Before I could refuse, he grasped my hands and pleaded.
“I won’t ask for much. Just one drop. Since yesterday, the scent of your sweat has been driving my d–k crazy that I want to just poke any hole. But I touched nothing. You’d have to show mercy if you knew how hard I resisted the urge to pounce on you while you slept.”
“Am I supposed to praise you for this?”
His ulterior motives were blatantly obvious. Even under the influence of a love potion, how could someone become so vulgar?
It was so absurd that I couldn’t help but respond with the same absurdity.
“Really, who asked you not to pounce on them?”
Not taking advantage of someone while they’re asleep should be a basic expectation of any decent human being, not something to be praised as if it’s an extraordinary achievement.
“So, you’re saying it would be okay to do it?”
Edgar’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Realizing my response might have been misinterpreted, I tried to correct the situation, but it was clear that his lust, inflated by his delusions, were already beyond control.
