The Baddest Villainess Is Back - Chapter 15
“Ah, Your Highness….”
Yuldian Diyanitas.
He was the typical kind of person who’s strong to the weak yet weak to the strong. Also, the member of the imperial family who Roxelyn disliked the most.
“What’s this? Not happy to see me, mongrel?”
“Haha… Well, no, of course. Nice to see you…”
Roxelyn bowed her waist in greeting to Yuldian’s growling voice and Arma’s heavily embarrassed voice but stopped.
“Look at this, how can there be such a lover of the century, this helpless little brother who can’t catch even a single ant, and even with a dreary stutter!”
“Brother, please don’t…”
“Why are you talking to me like that just because there’s a lady in front of you? Huh?”
Even with a slap on the head, Arma just swayed, and Roxelyn, who was half-bowed, straightened her waist again.
The eyes of the Second Prince, who saw Roxelyn’s face as she straightened her waist, widened slightly.
“Whoa… What’s this? You’ve become quite pleasant to look at since I last saw you, Lady.”
The extended hand grabbed Roxelyn’s chin and moved it around.
“Hoooh… What’s this. You’re quite lovely now. I missed seeing you, my lady.”
Ignoring Yuldian’s inappropriate behavior, Arma hurriedly rushed to remove the hand on Roxelyn’s chin.
“Please refrain from such disrespectful behavior towards Lady Roxelyn, Brother!”
“Can’t you shut up, you trash?”
After pushing away Arma’s hand, the Second Prince kicked his stomach.
“What ridiculous thing are you doing in front of your older brother? Huh? Don’t you have any decency? Want to be educated again? Huh? Do you want to plead for your life while trembling again?”
“W-Well… But… Lady Roxelyn is my fiancée…”
“Whether she’s your fiancée or whatever, if I say I’m going to do it, you just do it!”
Thud, thud, thud.
Dull sounds echoed several times. While clinging onto Yuldian’s leg, the Third Prince gestured to Roxelyn, as if telling her to leave quickly.
‘…This pathetic guy.’
Roxelyn sighed.
“Let go right now.”
“N-No, I won’t.”
His white robe became dirtied with footprints. Arma turned his head left and right without any signs of pain.
“Lady, irritating people with the loser’s attitude theme!”
“Lady Roxelyn is not yours, she’s mine! She belongs to me!”
Yuldian’s eyes flared with anger at the shouting, and Arma glared at the Second Prince with fiery eyes.
‘So this person can have that kind of gaze.’
Someone who never backs down in the face of injustice.
Someone who, even at the cost of sharing their own rations, ensures others don’t go hungry.
She found him frustrating, but there was a time when she envied him.
‘Even in parallel worlds, this seems to be the same.’
Roxelyn thought so and stood between the Second Prince and Arma, smiling.
The Second Prince hesitated.
“What’s with you? Are you also going to protect this punk of a fiancé of yours? Even with a face as pale as—”
“Your Highness.”
“What?”
Ignoring the answer from the Second Prince, Roxelyn urged Arma to get up, as he had collapsed on the ground, and then went on to speak with him.
“I don’t think it’s necessary for His Majesty the Emperor to arrange a meeting.”
“…W, What? Have I done something wrong again?”
“No, I just thought of a faster way to meet him.”
Roxelyn smiled at Arma, who was still shocked. Then, she glanced over to the Second Prince with a smile.
In the next moment, with a sharp sound echoing through the corridor, the Second Prince’s head snapped to the side.
Silence fell.
Yuldian Diyanitas couldn’t understand what just happened.
That sharp, sudden sound.
His turned vision and the tingling sensation on his cheek.
‘What just happened to me?’
Wasn’t there something about going numb when faced with the unexpected?
Perhaps because something that could never happen happened, the world fell silent.
Ignoring the faint tinnitus ringing in his ears, he blinked very slowly.
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
Although faces of shock were visible everywhere, Roxelyn was as composed as ever.
Arma, too, looked bewildered, gripping Roxelyn’s sleeve with widened eyes and an open mouth.
“What the… are you doing right now?”
When the Second Prince managed to turn back around and open his mouth,
Smack—!
This time, his head turned in the opposite direction.
Smack, smack, smack—!
